Music Magic combines ProX's Sly Stone, Clinton like vocals, with L1 and Black Mel's hard hittin rhymes to create a track that will be remembered for years to come

Open Minds was written during a time of strife and turmoil in this country. According to front man Professor G X3, “UGMG-Chicago knew a song had to be made pushing for a strong sense of optimism, which is essential for our human survival.” Written the formative years of UGMG - Chicago, Open Minds has developed into an anthem of hope. The soothingly attenuated introduction proceeds like the flow of time, moving the listener into a sense of oneness with existence. Suddenly the harmony abruptly shifts with a laser-like focus, to a swelling and rising dissonance, suggesting modern life as the piece concludes. Open Minds musically focuses on what UGMG – Chicago as a band and, by extension, what we as human beings,experience, through our collective starts and stops, and highs and lows. Reminiscent of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On", Open Minds provides a blueprint for survival into the future. It is apparent that Open Minds is a metaphor for our time in history.

When this short film introducing new music from The Urban Gypsies Music Group came to my attention, I knew immediately after watching, this is something exclusively special. Wanting to share this with as many people as possible, I got permission, after much discussion, from The Urban Gypsies Music Group to put this on YouTube. The film is a rough cut, an experiment, a draft, yet all of that is part of its charm. Record company people are constantly trying to get a piece of UGMG. UGMG says they don't need a record company. They just want to participate in the modern musical entertainment dimension and raise everything to a higher level. This is your chance to get to know a group with phenomenal musical potential. The creative firmament surrounding UGMG is enormously inspiring. There is something powerful and world changing happening here that is difficult to describe yet must be heard, experienced and enjoyed. Enjoy the experience!
